Description
49-AC Double Stage Double Gauge Acetylene Gas Pressure Regulator
The 49-AC Double Stage Double Gauge Acetylene Gas Pressure Regulator is designed for controlled and stable regulation of Acetylene (C₂H₂) gas from a gas cylinder to the required working pressure.
Its double-stage pressure reduction system reduces cylinder pressure in two stages, helping provide more stable and consistent outlet pressure even as the cylinder pressure changes during use. The double gauge configuration allows the operator to monitor both cylinder pressure and regulated delivery pressure.
Designed for professional welding, cutting, brazing, heating, and metal fabrication applications, the 49-AC Acetylene Regulator provides smooth pressure adjustment, reliable gas control, and convenient pressure monitoring for industrial use.
Key Features
- Designed specifically for Acetylene (C₂H₂) gas
- Double-stage pressure regulation
- Double pressure gauge configuration
- Inlet gauge for monitoring cylinder pressure
- Outlet gauge for monitoring working pressure
- Two-stage regulation for improved pressure stability
- Helps maintain consistent outlet pressure during operation
- Smooth and convenient pressure adjustment
- Easy-to-read pressure gauges
- Strong and durable construction
- Suitable for professional welding and cutting applications
- Designed for compatible Acetylene cylinders and gas systems
Advantages of Double Stage Regulation
The double-stage design provides improved pressure control compared with a conventional single-stage regulator. Gas pressure is reduced progressively through two regulating stages, helping to:
- Maintain more stable delivery pressure
- Reduce pressure fluctuations
- Provide consistent gas flow during operation
- Minimize the need for frequent pressure adjustment
- Improve control during precision welding, brazing, and cutting applications
How to Use
Before installation, make sure the Acetylene cylinder valve is completely closed.
Connect the 49-AC Acetylene Gas Pressure Regulator securely to the cylinder using the correct Acetylene-compatible connection. Keep the pressure adjustment mechanism fully released before opening the cylinder valve.
Slowly open the Acetylene cylinder valve and observe the inlet pressure gauge. Gradually adjust the regulator until the required working pressure is displayed on the delivery pressure gauge.
Check all connections for leakage using an approved gas leak-detection solution before starting work. Never use a flame to check for gas leakage.
After completing the operation, close the cylinder valve, safely release the remaining downstream pressure, and return the regulator adjustment mechanism to the released position.
Safety Note: Acetylene is highly flammable and can become unstable at excessive pressure. Acetylene should generally not be used at a free-gas pressure above 15 psi (approximately 1 bar). Always follow the equipment manufacturer’s instructions and applicable local safety regulations.
